A suburb bounded on the west by the eastern shore of Pittwater and on the east by the sea. Located about 8 km south of Barrenjoey Head. This area transferred from Warringah LGA to Pittwater LGA on 24-APR-92 Boundaries shown on map GNB4094-1 Name comes from the period when Pitt Water was the main means of transport to Sydney and a new port was established here.
